Last Sunday Don and I went for a stroll at Englishman River Falls. It was a beautiful sunny, warm day but the trees are so thick not much sunlight gets through.
As I was snapping this picture a fellow carrying what appeared to be a super deluxe, professional photographer's camera stopped a little ways up the path and was taking snaps of the same stream but on he other side of the path. I cast a critical eye at his scenic shot as we passed and believe my picture would be the better of the two even if I did have to stand in the mud and hang over a 5' sapling to get it.
I like this shot. It looks as though the log is blocking the path but as you get closer you can see the path veers to the right and the log lies along the side of the path.
Don took this one. These two trees were in the spotlight. We waited but they didn't do anything so we left.

Great pix. I especially like the one with the log on the path. Makes me want to find out where it goes. Reading a lot lately about how nature walks and being in forests has many health benefits. What a lovely day you had.
That looks so good compared to what I'm looking at around here.
Great pictures!
Brings back memories of that time we drove the west coast logging road from Sook Basin to Port Renfrew.
