I've had some pretty good feedback on it already. I hope it's another good seller.
Now to begin the matching Shawl.

Your Christening gown is beautiful, such intricate and fine work. Your painted pot for holding yarn is a work of Art too. I've never seen one of those before, very useful.

Thanks Mom. I have started the matching Christening shawl but have no ambition to finish it just yet. I think I'm burnt out on lace. I might knit myself a nice stocking stitch cardigan before going back to the shawl.

Beautiful. You do such amazingly fine work. How do you keep you eyes from getting tired?

I rest them by intermittently doing housework.

It makes me wish for a baby to be christened.

Me too. Just no diapers, or crying please.

It's so pretty! Do you write out the pattern as you go, or do it before you start, and then modify it as you go?
comment by troutbend on June 2, 2012 12:01 PM ()
I find it easiest to write it out as I go. Seems like every time I try to write down what I plan to do I end up modifying it. I can see the finished item in my mind's eye. I just have to figure out the stitches to make it look like that.
