This past Christmas was nice. No hustle. No bustle. We opened presents, had breakfast, played with our new toys and cooked The turkey dinner (which was delicious).
The aftermath.
Don gave me an interesting gift. Yes, it is a hammer. He bought it to replace the hammer I bought when I was 20 years old. Needless to say, it had great sentimental value to me.
He was removing a nail from a 2 X 4 when this happened. I know he felt just awful about it and I knew I couldn't part with my trusty, old hammer so I re-purposed it.
I now store it in my fibre studio with my dye pots and fleeces. It is the perfect weight for my freshly spun, drying skeins of yarn.
Shortly after Christmas I received this beautiful Azalea from Don's "secret society" as a thank you for the 52 charity hats I knit this year. I hope my black thumbs don't kill it before I can plant it outside.
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

I like how you re-purposed.
Chinese hammers are no good.
Oh, that poor hammer! I'm glad you found a good second career for it, and a first-rate one at that.
