I awoke one morning in New York City, on lower 2nd Avenue, to tremors. It was about 6 a.m. Oh, I thought, it's just the subway rumbling down below. WAIT A MINUTE. Second Avenue doesn't have a subway. Later I learned that New York had experienfed one of its rare earthquakes.
I live on Canada's west coast. Google Ring of Fire. It's scarey.
Is this common? Here in Oklahoma, we believe ours are somehow related to the process of hydraulic fracturing for oil and gas. Are they doing that in Canada as well?
I didn't feel it.
We are having several milder ones a week. They put cracks in the ceiling.
Hmmm didn't feel anything here. And I agree. No trains in the house, please.
