A bigger fish has been caught at the Salmon Festival. This one is a 40.3 lb Chinook. I remember one year someone caught a salmon that was the biggest caught during the Salmon Festival. Unfortunately he hadn't bought a ticket to enter the derby so his fish did not win the $10,000.00 prize.
Here's a picture of a 40 lb salmon. I'll bet he got lots of salmon steaks from this one.

Years ago Jay and I drove through the maritime provinces. All the lobster in restaurants was lobster salad. I wondered why they didn't serve lobster whole as we often have in the States.
Giant fish! Are you eating lots of freshly-caught salmon up there?
Now, that's what I call a BIG FISH....and he didn't get away either!
