Wishing I'd Had My Flu Shot

I woke up this morning and every muscle in my body was aching. I figured I was just more out of shape than I thought and the walk DH and I took yesterday was the culprit. An hour later my neck hurt so bad I could barely move it and I'd developed a pounding headache so I took an Aleve. Thirty minutes later I'm feeling queasy and thinking I shouldn't have taken that pill on an empty stomach. Now the body aches have eased somewhat, except for my headache. I'm freezing cold, which is ridiculous for someone who owns and is wearing the number of sweaters I am. After eating a banana my stomach is still queasy and now I'm getting that prickly skin sensation indicative of a fever. Wouldn't you know it. I have to pick up my grandsons from school tomorrow. :o(

I had a flu shot before we went to SE Asia. There always seem to be so many bugs floating around inside the airplane and I didn't want to be sick during my vacation But I got an awful cold anyway (sore throat that lasted for days and then the runny nose, etc.). I hope you recover quickly and, as Mum said, you are able to enjoy your birthday dinner.

You have my sympathy. I was going to suggest all the standard treatments but we all know them. Just snuggle down in bed with a good book.

I hope your soon feeling well, sounds like a very miserable flu bug, take it easy and drink lots of fluid so that your able to enjoy your Birthday dinner.

I feel your "pain". Just came through a terrible two weeks with a flu and stomach bug. Here's hoping it's quick and easy. Pamper yourself.

Can you you get another family member to get the grandkids? You don't want to give them what you've got. Whatever I had and others had seems to be sweeping the country. Hope yours doesn't hang on. Chicken soup, yes.

DH avoids me like the plague (pardon the pun) when I'm sick. He will make his own dinner and sleep in the guest room tonight.
