Walkies

I drove over to the track for a walk today. It's only the second time I've been walking since......I can't remember when. On Monday, when I first walked, it felt so good I thought I'd try a bit of jogging so for 1/4 of the regulation size track I jogged and for 3/4 I walked. I continued this five more times around the track. Monday night I was sore but that was nothing compared to how I felt yesterday. I'm in pain from the bottom of my skull to the middle of my back. My hips ache like they are arthritic and I can't even begin to explain the agony from just below my knees down to the top of my feet. I walked around the block, with The Three Year Old, yesterday, just to loosen up a bit. Today I walked the track for about 30 minutes before I noticed I was limping a bit and putting most of my weight on my right leg so I quit and came home. I plan to walk the track every other day but it will be some time before I try jogging again.

Ahhhh, I too have renewed my interest in my well being. I started walking on Tuesday, since god only knows when, and well I was so sore yesterday that I left it until today to walk again

Don't jog. My doc says it is hard on your knees and ankle joints. Walking is great. Just pick up the pace the more use to it you get. I walk between 2-4 miles every day. I love it!

keep up with the walking, its better on the joints. do you listen to music while walking or are you thinking up new knitting patterns?

Just keep it up, Marg! You'll be so glad you did! These soreness will go away soon.
