Socks & Sweaters & Nails

I've finished another pair of socks. They're the same as my last pair of socks, just a different colour and will be a gift for someone special for Christmas or maybe her birthday.
I'm currently working on a little, V-neck pullover. It was supposed to be for The Three Year Old but I didn't have enough yarn and had to knit a smaller size. If I don't sell it beforehand, the next born grandson can have it. It's in green and off-white with a train on the front. I'll post a picture when I get it finished, tomorrow.
I think I've been knitting too much or maybe knitting too fast because my thumb joints, especially my right thumb, are hurting. I don't have arthritis *knock on wood* so I'm assuming it's from overuse and they just need a little rest. To take a break from my knitting I decided to trim my fingernails. They were so long they were about to start curling in on themselves. My thumbnails were actually one inch long. No wonder I was having trouble typing. As DH is taking me out to the theatre tomorrow night, I'm thinking I might put some polish on during my next knitting break but it will have to be a long break as it's all but impossible to get nail polish off my yarn.

I am still amazed at how much knitting you do. As much as you love to do it, I'm glad you take some breaks. The going out to dinner break sounds nice. Enjoy!

You know that I have trouble with my right thumb also, but mine is old age and the arthritis! Hopefully yours just needs a rest!

I thought about you yesterday while I was quilting. I had to stop, put everything aside and take a "quilting" break just to breathe. Do you ever do that?
