Light at the End of the Tunnel

Or should I say there is a light at the end of the dryer vent? I like Mr Fix-it. Out of all the different ways he could vent the dryer he chose my idea to run the pipe through the walls, over the stairwell and out the outside wall. He will build a box to hide the pipe that would be visible over the stairwell. I am so relieved. At first he was talking about letting it vent into the eaves but I didn't like the idea that the soffits would eventually fill up with lint. He's going to get back to me this afternoon with an estimate. I only have two complaints. Wednesday is the earliest he can start the work and the bozos tracked mud all over my hall carpet. I'm off to do another small load of laundry to drape all over the house.

arg! It's so frustrating to have to have work done. Can you request that they wear those little booties?
