My Holey Rectangle

I usually sell the yarn I spin but decided to keep this batch for something for me. It's a wool/mohair blend; lovely and soft. I decided a nice grey vest would be useful and I really like the look of the asymmetrical cardigans so I chose the Rose Trellis Shawl Vest by Vera Sanon for my pattern. Unfortunately I kept getting stuck on row 3 so I checked out the comments of others who had knit this vest and discovered the pattern is considered, by most, to be very poorly written. However, I still liked the shape of the vest so I just changed the lace pattern on the fronts to a nice lacy Ostrich Plumes. It's a perfect fit and I LOVE it.
The first photo is the true colour of the yarn.

It's amazing how those simple designs like that drape so nicely when you put them on.

I certainly hope so. It's been unseasonably cold around here with snow expected tomorrow.
