Happy Valentines Day

to you all and a Happy 38th Anniversary to my Dear Hubby. As we have a Sweetheart Dinner/Dance/charity auction to attend tomorrow we decided not to go out for an anniversary dinner tonight. A monstrous roast beast is simmering in the crock pot and the fixings for Yorkshire pudding are laid out and NO, it is not premixed, powder, just-add-water Yorkshire pudding but the real thing. Glazed carrots and a nice brown gravy will complete the meal. No dessert is planned because I'm hoping DH will share my gift to him with me.

I'm really looking forward to tomorrow night's dinner. We'll be leaving the room when the dancing starts as, every year, they crank the volume so high you find yourself still shouting on your way home in the car. I'm looking forward to seeing what all will be auctioned off. I have donated a few items:

Unofficial Alberni Valley Bulldogs Fingerless Gloves

Gina Bag

Dancing Cranes Stole

I hope they bring in lots of money for the very good cause which happens to escape me at the moment.

Sunday I'll be spinning at Arrowvale Farm, just outside of Port Alberni. Lots of other spinners to chat with. Good food, good drink, good company and, hopefully, I can finish spinning up my Surf and Sand yarn.

Next week looks fairly quiet but we shall see.

Happy Anniversary Marge! Wow, your donations are lovely. I want that purse. We had left over roast beast this evening, but it was still good because I didn't have to cook it. Have fun tomorrow.

Happy Anniversary to you! Those are lovely items, and people will be glad to bid on them. That bag has such a nice design in the pattern and of course from the yarn, too. I thought Yorkshire pudding was just flour, eggs, and milk, like popovers. What more would they put into the powder you buy? When I was in England my cousins there told me nobody makes it any more, they just buy pre-baked frozen. Well, now I want to go make some popovers.
