I had The Three Year Old today. I am so utterly exhausted I just want to lie down and have a nap. Unfortunately, sleep eluded me last night and if I give in to a snooze now I don't expect I'll sleep very well tonight either. I don't know why he tires me out. He was only here for and hour and a half, today. Maybe it's because preschoolers demand your undivided attention. He certainly had mine this afternoon. As three year olds go he is an exceptionally good natured child and I'm not just saying that because he's my grandson. I raised three of my own and ran a day care in my home for 15 years. I've had oodles of experience. Oh well, just another four and a half weeks and his mom (DD#1) will finish her practicum, be back to working full time and The three Year Old will be in a group day care under the watchful, loving eye of his Auntie (DD#2) who works there. Talk about keeping it in the family.lol Anyway, I'm gonna go prop my eyelids open with some toothpicks and see if I can knit for a bit.
