It's coming along slowly but surely. I have three borders completed and am working on the fourth border. When the lace gets to be too overwhelming I switch to the seed stitch centre square.
Looking good on the double bed in our guest room.
I can't wait to finish this shawl and start the layette. When this is all done I'd like to design a Christening gown in this lace pattern. It's really pretty.

It is so exciting that you had the instructions and were able to translate them to today's terminology, and then you'll have the wonderful vintage design to make further projects. It is better than getting the original restored because this one is brand-new and she can wear it with confidence for many years to come.
