After the Affair

DH took me home shortly after the music started. He isn't keen on dancing and I can't stand the volume of the music. DH went back a few hours later to help with the clean up and find out what prizes we had won. He came home with an exercise ball from the silent auction and the museum's donation of three books, from a raffle. The most exciting time was watching him bid on the Travel Package ($1500.00 travel voucher, good any time with no expiry date) at the live auction. He won. I haven't heard how much money was made, yet but my educated guess is around $8,000.00 or $9,000.00. I believe some of the money will go to the Western Vancouver Island Industrial Heritage Society and the rest to the Rotary Club for dispersal to various charities, bursaries, etc. We had a most enjoyable evening and I'm already looking forward to next year's Fifth Annual Sweetheart Dance.

By the way, why do Men go dancing until they catch you and then complain that
their feet are killing them and they can no longer dance as soon as you
marry them?

Hey, you wanted an exercise ball!
I love the BOSU ball now - I don't have one but sometimes the instructor uses them in the exercise classes I got to.

Well done, Hubby!
And what did you end up wearing to this fun affair?
Glad you had a good time....

How many people showed up as lumberjacks, and how many chose the top hat option?

Rough guess: 25% lumberjacks, 25% top hats, 50% didn't bother to dress in costume. I saw two ladies dressed in period costumes. They were stunning.

That's great! And he won the travel package. Is that exercise ball the kind where you strengthen your core muscles by using it for a desk (or knitting) chair?

With the amount of sitting I do, I may end up with the strongest core muscles in town or I just might end up on the floor with a knitting needle stuck in me........as soon as I figure out how to inflate it.
