Year's End

I wanted to end this year on a good note but as this is the last day of the year I guess I can't.
This morning, after dragging the garbage can and two recycling boxes down the length of the driveway in my Crocs and jammies I find out there will be no pick up because it's too difficult getting the trucks through the lane. Well, WA WA BOO HOO! I don't think the lanes are that bad. What the H*** am I suppose to do with the turkey carcass, the inch layer of fat from the jellied turkey juices and the turkey guts? DH says we'll have to store the garbage in the garage because the bears are still hanging around. What are the bloody bears hanging around for? Why aren't they hibernating? The garage is attached to the house so goodness knows what my house is going to smell like by next Wednesday. I'd go stock up on Lysol and Febreez but I don't/can't drive in the friggin' snow. I have so had it with these four walls. I find myself daydreaming about last summer and there is no end in sight to this cold and snow. I lied. I'm pretty sure the weather will improve by next July. Also, January 1st just happens to be the date I chose to climb back on the fitness wagon. I suspect it will be rumbling by too fast for me to grab onto. I sure hope it's gonna be a happy new year.

aOh Marg, I finally can access your blog. I sympathize with the Sheltie problem. I had one and they are horrid yippers. They are however, good herd dogs and good dogs for the deaf. Talk to her about donating several to deaf and hard of hearing people. They go insane when the phone rings or someone is at the door.

DD#1's mother-in-law has one that's taken up residence under her deck. Animal Control told her they'd be back with a live trap in a few days as the bear was too big to drag out from under the deck.

Poor Marg. It isn't below freezing there? Our garbage freezes solid in the garage, so we don't have a smell problem. And no bears. Just coyotes and mice.

Oh - sounds like someone is a cranky bear. Cabin Fever! I so hear you, I live in an apartment building with a smelly heaping dumpster of garbage because no one can get to it - it still has all the Christmas garbage in it. WTF?? Our roads are still barely passable and I almost fell on my fat ass trying to walk the dog for about 10 feet up the icy sidewalk. I am so TIRED of snow, I moved here from the east to get away from the endless winter!!!

Yeah I am thinking maybe April for the weather to get better, but hey, I'm an optimist.
