Hotel & Dinner

Our hotel is called Aava. It's on the outskirts of Whistler Village. (Remember the 2010 Winter Olympics? This is the place where they were held.) Our room is not too shabby. The chairs and couches seem to have been made for giants. I can't get my butt to touch the back cushions no matter how hard I try but the bed is wonderful. It's almost as comfortable as my Temperpedic back home. The toiletries are Aveda which is a brand I particularly like and the smoke detector doesn't go off at five in the morning like it did at the Whiskey Point Resort we stayed at on Quadra Island. The staff are friendly and Johnny-on-the-spot when hubbies inadvertently loosen the power cord on the big TV and can't figure out why it won't work. DH likes the hotel because his convention is just across the street.

Tonight's dinner was at a restaurant called 21 Steps. We had the pork tenderloin which we both agreed was scrumptious. DH ordered blueberry apple crumble for dessert while I settled for a small serving of French vanilla ice cream. I'm not sure where we will be dining tomorrow night, either the Old Spaghetti Factory or Ric's Grill. I'm leaving the decision up to DH. Now to get in a few rows before bed.

I'm so glad to hear you're having a great time. Wish I was there. Not bugging you, just away from here with no cares and woes.
