I'm Baaaack ... Part Two
Tuesday, November 18, 2008
Not much happened today. The weather was pleasant so I went for a walk around the outside of The Mall. I came across a sight I'm not used to seeing around here:

The picture is a bit fuzzy because I was standing a good half a city block away when I snapped the photo and blew it up to show here.
There were people all around practicing their daily Tai Chi rituals and a group of Chinese ladies were practicing a dance:

I checked out the upper level of The Mall and all I could find in the way of ladies apparel was teeny bopper and working women's clothing; shoes with stiletto heels and pointy toes that extend four inches beyond your foot. There were suits and leopard print stocking, camel hair trench coats, pencil skirts and silk blouses and there was nothing in my size. I used to buy and wear the trendy, fashionable clothes. Now I'm curious. Just when did I turn into a frumpy, fat grandma? I spent another afternoon recharging my batteries in the room.
Yesterday, DH had made the supreme sacrifice and suggested we go to see a movie tonight but he didn't sleep well last night so I let him off the hook. Instead we did some more walking. I walked well over 12,000 steps today.(Yes, I brought my step counter.)
