Angel is going to turn 16 next month so we thought we should take her in for a check up. She was also in need of her usual shots and we wanted to talk to the vet about getting her on some pain medication as she has been limping quite a bit lately. The check up told us she was fairly healthy except for her thyroid. So now we smear some thyroid medication on the inside of her ear every 12 hours. She doesn't mind it too much. We also give her a liquid, by mouth, for her pain every 12 hours. Most times, she fights that tooth and nail or should I say claw. Don puts on his winter coat and holds onto her while I do the dosing. Angel is getting pretty good at disappearing around 10AM and 10PM. Fortunately, we know most of her hiding places and she's pretty slow so she rarely escapes Don's clutches.
She'll never be too old to enjoy cuddles with daddy.

I have lost about six cats since moving to Florida in 2003. None have lived past 14. It isn't easy and I am always thinking of each one and how special each was. The only consolation is that we loved them to pieces and they knew it.
China was seventeen when she left us.
That's a good age for a cat!
What a lucky cat to have such a loving mummy and daddy
