Every December DH's "Secret Society" hands out 52 boxes of necessities (toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, etc) to the folks at a local shelter. Next December there will also be a nice warm toque (hat) in each box. I started knitting them before Christmas and it only took me four weeks to make 52.
I plan to put my $100.00 winnings towards more yarn for another 52 hats for next year.

I like the bottle green one at the top, its a smart colour. I have been thinking, if I used a 'Mohair/Angora', yarn, that would be ok, wouldn't it?
They're so pretty, and the recipients will love them.
