Yesterday was report card day for Kota. I was kind of dreading it. At the beginning of the year he was not doing so well. With all of the changes we were going through, Kota was affected the most. Here are his grades:
Reading A, Math A, Science B, Social Studies C
I was quite proud of him! Me and his Dad made a big deal over his report card and told him just how proud we are, for turning himself around and succeeding!
Also yesterday was the first day Kota started riding the bus straight home rather than go to the boys and girls club. Well the bus driver forgot Kota was on the bus and ended up dropping him off last. This morning when the bus got here the bus driver said Kota would be home a half hour earlier. hehehe
At lunch time at work I usually get a cup of coffee and go sit in my car and relax. I like to be away from people and just think whatever I want. I noticed my buddy John was working in the parking lot. As I was walking up to the store he called me over. We joked around for about 20 minutes. Just being goofy and silly. I told him he needed a hat as it was so cold and windy. His ears were bright red. So I felt one, then pretended it came off in my hand. Of course we talked about class and he complimented me on my continued improvement and always pushing myself. I was almost late getting back from lunch due to goofing off with him.
And my absent husband. Its that time of year, cold weather and heaters breaking. It was after 8 when he got home. But he had a hot dinner waiting for him. I sat with him as he ate and we just talked about our day. Things are so much more relaxed for us now. We usually all eat together, talking about work, school and things that irritated us that day. And I have noticed the dark circles under my eyes are going away. All of that worrying and stress was taking its toll on me. And I see where hubby is more relaxed now too. We joke around more and pick on each other good naturedly.
And Stormy is a welcome addition to our family. She fits in quite nicely and its so nice to have another female to talk to! On my days off I try to get her out of the house, even if its only to walmart. She has no car so she is kind stuck in the house. The other day we went shopping and she was dancing to the Christmas carols being played. She is just alot of fun!
well I work 9-4 today then its off to class tonight for more torture!
enjoy the day
