This wasn't funny yesterday when it appeared in our local rag but looking at it today, it's hilarious.
It's afternoon and my house is a cool 22C/72F. Although the weatherman is still saying our temperature will reach 35/95 today it is only 24/75 right now. I delivered all my papers early this morning when it was down right chilly. Our temperatures are forecast to just keep dropping a little every day for the next week. I am in seventh heaven.
*Homeowners: Please, please, PLEASE do not paint your sidewalk. Unless you use special non-slip paint it makes your walks dangerously slippery. I delivered to a house who's sprinkler was soaking their painted sidewalk. My left foot went out from under me, I twisted to my left and I went down hard on my hip. I limped through the rest of my route and took a couple of Tylenol when I got home. My hip seems fine now but I may be sore tomorrow.
