Smooth Sailing
I hate it when things don't run smoothly. I hate making plans to have them all thrown to the wind. I was going to work on my craft room today. Dusting (sniff, cough, cough, hack), straightening and tidying. Then I was going to knit a bit while the laundry was on. After that I was going to go to the track for my walk/run. There is only one problem with that. I can't use my dryer. When we had the roof done, the roofer told me the dryer wasn't vented properly. He disassembled the venting apparatus and told me not to use my dryer as it wasn't good to have all that lint and moisture venting into the attic. He said he would contact someone who would fix it for me. That was last week! I haven't heard a thing since then and my laundry is piling up. The hamper is full. There is a pile of dirty clothes on the floor next to it and we're running out of clean towels, not to mention undies. Now I can't work on my craft room because that's where the entrance to the attic is and I can't block access to that in case Mr Fix-it needs to get up there. I got one load of wash done but I had to take it over to DD#1's dryer. She set the dryer for 50 minutes and then tells me she'll be out for a couple of hours. That load was mostly DH's dress shirts he needs for work. They should be all nicely wrinkled by the time I get them home and I reeeeally hate ironing. As for my walk/run; I have to stay home and wait for DH/the roofer/Mr Fix-it to phone me. The Three Year Old is coming this afternoon so I can't go to the track then either. No smooth sailing today.
