I had a call from the vet today. The blood test for his liver came back completely normal but he is still vomiting. The vet suspects a food allergy and has asked me to make note of the ingredients in his treats and cat food and do a little experimenting with different varieties. I did notice he had quite a swift and violent reaction to the Whiskas Temptations treats, we've been feeling him for years, the last two times he's had them. Poor Peaches. No more treats for him. Guess that'll teach me to buy them in bulk. It'll take Angel-Who-Isn't a year to eat them all by herself. I'm slowly switching Peaches from the Purina hairball food back to his usual Medi Cal for mature cats. The vet told me that hairball food does next to nothing for hairballs. She said, to make it effective, the manufacturer would have to put in so much hairball stuff the food would go rancid in no time. It's just a waste of money. She did tell me to give him Hairball Remedy twice a week. I have told Peaches that I would appreciate it if he would aim for the linoleum instead of the carpet in future but I don't think he was listening.
