A Good Day for Knitting

'cause it ain't too good for anything else. I think I might have had food poisoning or maybe the flu on top of a cold on top of allergies. Yesterday I felt like crap but today's not too bad. At least, not since I popped a few cold pills. At least I can breath now. I really wasn't looking forward to two and a half hours with The Three Year Old and then his mom called and said his dad got off work early so she didn't need me today. I didn't even get dressed. I did don my big, baggy and oh so comfortable sweater and a pair of wool socks, though. I made myself a big pot of tea and knit for most of the day. The first blue diamond sock is almost done. I'm also working on a baby's cardigan with matching socks. The Shetland shawl I'm trying to design has been put away until my brain is up to the task. I wonder if DH will cook dinner for me tonight. If I cough loud enough and often enough when he gets home, maybe. I wonder if I can squeeze out another sick day and leave the laundry and vacuuming until the weekend. We shall see. For now, I'd better get back to that arduous task of sock knitting. ;o]

It's not fun being sick, but if you can get somebody else to handle the chores, I would definitely recommend it. Relax, take it easy, and get better. Knit while you are doing all that, of course!
