Nursekim has received her Doggy Bag so I can show you the photos, now.
I blended her Husky's brushings (RIP Shawny) with some Polwarth fleece. Angel reeeally likes the smell of unwashed doggy fur.
It spun so fine I had to ply two strands together.
I even found a button, from The Button Lady on Pender Island, that looked a bit like a husky. Best of all, nursekim loves the bag.

Maryc gave me this gorgeous wool she had spun.
I thought about making myself a vest but it was too thick and I wasn't sure there would be enough of it to complete the garment.
So I knit another bag. This is a shot oif it before felting.
Here it is after felting and trimming. You can see the difference in size by comparing the lines on the floor. I'd like to find a nice closure for it and then it will be ready to sell, unless I decide to keep it. ;o)

Nice bags and the button is perfect. Don't you love the Buttonlady's huge selection? I've been working on the trim around the edges of my vest, so I may be done during this millenium. Kari's nephew's wife is expecting her fourth (another boy), so I might try a baby outfit as my next project. She isn't a knitter but I think she's appreciate something hand-done.
Now that my kind of doggy bag
Very nice! When she walks her dog and carries that bag, there will be fashion harmony.
I knew Kim would be thrilled with her dog-hair bag, I think it is really neat, and the button does resemble a husky, good work bag lady. I love the multi coloured one too, and I do have a Birthday in April, hint, hint, I still have some multi coloured yarn if you need some.
