First a little background on the house I came from to the house I am in now. My old house was a one story, 3 bedroom ranch house. It had one bathroom. We had 6 windows total. Our new house is two stories, with an attic and basement. We have 30 windows! I love windows! Its 4 bedrooms and still only one bathroom.

Here are some pics in no particular order
the outside of the house

The front porch

the tv area

the dining room

french doors between living room and dining room

the front door

the kitchen

more of the kitchen

the laundry area which is part of the kitchen

the stairs

I left out a few rooms, mainly cuz they are mostly empty. We have a mud room as soon as you enter the back door. then there is another small room after that, we have no idea what to use it for. Then you enter the kitchen. The upstairs has 4 bedrooms. We could not get our boxsprings up the stairs so we have been sleeping with the mattress on the floor. Kota has an air mattress until we can get him a new mattress for his bed. I also did not include a pic of the bathroom, you've seen one you've seen them all. The basement is scary and there is nothing down there but some boxes we need to sort out. The attic is also empty. I cannot believe I have 30 windows and as you might see in the pics, most don't have curtains yet. LOL The bedrooms, bathroom and some in the living room have blinds. We are slowly working on things we need in order of importance. Its been alot of fun and I am loving this house!

it is a beautiful home. i love the huge front porch. as for the windows i love them to. i would rather have windows open and let the fresh breeze in then have my house all closed up. enjoy your house. i know with all the work you do to it it will be even more beautiful.

what a teriffic house. I just love big porches. the front door is similar to the front door in my old apartment in the Flower City by the Lake. It was the lower half of an old Victorian. I like lots of windows too. Nothing like natural light.

Great pictures! I can't even imagine having 30 windows. That would be great during the daytime, so no lights would have to be turned on. Mary, I'm so happy for you and your family. It really is a very nice house. Congratulations!!

Pretty house!! Nice pics.!! I LOVE the porch!! I will tell you coming from someone who has and lives in a two-story house with 22 windows and 3 sky-lights that your energy bills will be higher. In fact, we have been paying anywhere between $400.00 and $600.00 a month. So, it will be a bear a to cool and heat. I thought you all were going to see if the owner would let you put another bathroom off of that mud-room since you only have one bathroom and it is upstairs. Hopefully, he will. Yes, getting mattresses and box springs upstairs can be a challenge! We have a king-size bed and the master bedroom and master bathroom are upstairs. It was a challenge and not easy but it can be done. I am thankful we have a bathroom downstairs as well as upstairs although, our bathroom downstairs had plumbing problems and couldn't use it for awhile. In fact because of those tree roots it was like $3300.00 in plumbing problems so, I do understand about having to go upstairs to the only bathroom. Not fun!! Like I said maybe the owner will put in another one downstairs. That would be ideal!
