My Yarn Stash
My Yarn Stash
I may be embarrassed about the mess but I'm pretty proud of my stash, be it yarn, needles, knitting books, etc. Jeremy only asked to see my stash room but some of my yarn is pretty old and with the onset of Alzheimer's has begun to wander aimlessly around the house.

This is my knitting chair, in the basement rec-room. I do my plying on my mom's old spinning wheel. Most of my needles are at hand. I find my treadmill to be most useful as a table for my current WIP (Work In Progress), yarn and patterns I'm finished with and haven't put away yet and yarn and patterns I'm planning on using soon.

This is the other side of the rec-room. Bags and baskets stuffed to overflowing, more spinning paraphernalia and a small stack of free knitting patterns printed off the computer.

This is a corner of the office (also in the basement). I like to keep my yarn close at hand. The purple boxes contain sewing and cross stitch items but the rest of the boxes are stuffed with yarn.

Moving upstairs to my cedar chest by the front door we find......Oh, what a surprise! More yarn. I see the chest has some room in it. Must remember to restock.

Now for the photos you've all be waiting for. My Stash Room! I had to back up into the hall to get this photo.

Here is a view of the other side of the room.

Here is a dresser in the corner of the same room.

Beside the dresser.

This house has big closets. This is one side of my stash room closet. All of the boxes and bags you see in all of these pictures are full of yarn.

This is the lower half of the other side of the closet. The grey box sitting on the floor is not filled with yarn. It's my 57 year old Brother sewing machine and it still works.

Here is the upper half of the other side of the closet. This is what I was working on to organize last year. I'm planning on tackling my stash room again when I've finished the Spring cleaning. I dream of a neat and tidy stash room with a place for everything and everything in it's place.
