Let There Be Light
in my kitchen, finally! I was just about to hop in the shower when the electrician phoned to ask if I'll like him to come over and finish the job he started a month or more ago. I didn't feel like waiting another month or two so I said, "Sure." Then it was a mad scramble to get dressed, (sans shower, ick)washed, DH's lunch made and another load of laundry started before he showed up. I didn't know how long he would take so I took my kettle, instant coffee, a cup and spoon, my breakfast packet of instant oatmeal and a banana downstairs, just in case. When he eventually showed up he was finished in five minutes and it's a good thing too because I neglected to take a bowl for my oatmeal, although I am nothing if not adaptive.....I would have used my coffee cup. I now have light in my kitchen and nice bright track lighting over the stairs. I can't wait until tonight when I get to use it.
I spent a while this morning picking out the items I want to knit for my next grandbaby. I found a dozen or so adorable outfits and blankets. I'm trying to reduce my stash but I suspect I'll have to buy more yarn to get everything ready for the little one's debut, around August 9th. Gee, what a shame......Ha! Ya, right. I wanted to post a picture of my stash room but it's such a mess, I'm too ashamed. Oh well, back to my knitting. Yesterday I started a My Shetland Shawl in Antique White.
