I Told Him Not To

but he did anyway.

He sneaked out for my Anniversary/Valentine's Day flowers.

Our dinner out was almost a complete disaster. I had made a reservation at a new restaurant, Aroma. It was nearby in case of inclement weather and looked cozy and romantic. When we arrived the hostess asked if we had a reservation we told her yes and our name. She gave us a blank stare, consulted her list and then removed the reserved sign with the name of "Shelly" from a table for four and we sat down, already disappointed that they had, obviously, lost our reservation. As soon as I sat down I could feel the heat radiating from the electric baseboard at my ankles. I moved my chair as far as I could get from the heater but it didn't help that they had a fireplace in the corner that was on. We soon realized we couldn't stay to eat in that stifling little room and left. We won't go back there. I was afraid we'd end up back home eating beans and toast but DH wasn't about to quit. The next place we tried we snagged a table for two. Unfortunately, it was right next to the live band and the buffet was only so so but the pecan pie was yummy as were the Lindt chocolates at the table. Back home we exchanged cards and I gave DH a Valentine's bag of Reese Mini Peanut Butter Cups.
