Last weekend I was informed, by a stranger on Ravelry, that there is a Stitch n Bitch every Sunday at a coffee shop near my home and was invited to join them. Although I have never attended one before, it is my understanding that an SnB is a group of knitters who, armed with needles and yarn, gather together for companionship and conversation. I am really looking forward to this. I don't know any other knitters in town and although I frequently knit in public (doctor's and dentist's waiting rooms, park benches, check out lines at Costco, etc) I have rarely seen anyone else doing the same. I should be finished my wool gloves before the SnB so I've decided to take along the supplies for a pair of hairy slippers. I can't start a big project as I'm expecting my yarn package for the Big Blue Shawl to arrive on Monday. This is exciting stuff for me and yes, I do lead a tranquil/boring life.
