I didn't want to be the first to arrive. I wanted to walk into the coffee shop and find a table surrounded by chatting ladies and clicking needles. Even so, being five minutes, fashionably late, I found one lady with a little zip-lock bag of yarn sitting at a small table by herself. I asked if this was the Stitch 'n Bitch table and she told me it was. We introduced ourselves and I excused myself and headed to the counter for the obligatory cup of coffee.
We were the only ones to show up and spend the next two hours working on our respective projects and getting to know each other. The time flew by and and all too soon it was over. I don't think anyone will show up next Sunday as it's Valentine's Day and I'm kind of glad there was just the two of us. Apparently it's a new group and not too many know about it yet. The other lady just started it in January and is thinking of putting an ad in the paper to attract more knitters. I hope this Stitch 'n Bitch is successful and grows in numbers. I would hate to be the only one to show up and have to drink the overpriced, disgusting coffee all by myself.lol
