It's Snowing Again :O(

A typical Wednesday morning goes like this:
My alarm wakes me at the ungodly hour of 8:20am.
I wash, brush, dress and make coffee.
At 8:45 DD#1 brings The Four Year Old.
At 8:50 I drive The Four Year Old to preschool (across town).
I arrive back home at 9:15 and go about my household chores until...
11:20 when I head back to the preschool to pick up The Four Year Old.
At 11:45 we are back at my place and The Four Year Old plays with my Lego until...
DD#1 arrives to pick him up around 12:10.

This morning was a little bit different, thanks to the snow.
On Monday I heard it was supposed to snow today so I called DD#1 and reminded her of my driving-on-snow-or-ice phobia and suggested she ask her friend, who's little boy attends the same preschool class. If she would pick up The Four Year Old from my house and deliver him back here after preschool. She agreed and that was the last I heard from her.
So, this morning, I was woken up by my alarm clock at the ungodly hour of 8:20am.
I washed, brushed, dressed and made coffee.
By 9:00 I realized DD#1's friend must have picked up The Four Year Old at his house. (Nice of DD#1 to let me know.)
Shortly after 9:00 I started the laundry, emptied the dishwasher, took out the garbage and recycling and attended to other sundry household chores.
I was ready and waiting for The Four Year Old to arrive at 11:45 but expected him to be late due to the heavy snowfall we've been experiencing all morning.
At 12:00 DD#1 finally called to let me know she had found her friend stuck in the snow at the side of the road somewhere between the preschool and my house. She had called her hubby to help her friend get her *Jeep* unstuck and she had The Four Year Old in tow and my babysitting services would not be needed today.
So, that was an easy Wednesday morning.
DH will have to take me grocery shopping soon. We're starting to run low on the basics.
The weather is going to start warming up on Sunday with forecast temperatures at -2C high and -6C low. Goodness knows how long I'll be housebound for. I expect to start going a little stir crazy by next week.

I'm pretty much housebound too, except that I am venturing out to playschool, but not going into the city. At least we will be having a white Christmas this year!

I love when my daughter calls me at 1:30pm on a Saturday to tell me that we won't need to watch our grandaughter at 2:30pm after all.
