Although I counted four bad things, not three, yesterday was much better for me. My cold was a little better. Even DH said I sounded much perkier than the day before. I felt good enough to go to Walmart for a crochet hook and finished the shawl. It's now blocking in the guest room. Dam! Excuse me while I go close the guest room door before a cat decides to pluck and curl up on my shawl........
I'm back. Thought I should snap a picture while I was there.

It's a little difficult to see the pattern on the blocking board but I'll take a better one when it's dried.

See all that blue sky? That's what yesterday was like when I delivered the newspapers. That 60% chance of rain the weatherman was forecasting turned into 100% chance of sun.
I expected my "perkiness" to crash by dinner time but it didn't so I made my world famous, well, famous in my little corner of the world, Cabbage Unrolls. It contains all the same ingredients as Cabbage Rolls but I never got the hang of the rolling part so it ends up being more of a cabbage casserole but tastes just as delicious. I made enough for leftovers which will taste even better tomorrow night.
Other news, DH broke a huge chunk off one of his molars so the dentist pulled it yesterday. DH found the truck of his dreams and purchased a red, 2007 Ford Ranger. In a couple of months we'll trade in the Jeep and my 1987 Camry (if we can find a dealer dumb enough to take my hunk-a-junk) and I'll be getting a new used car. Something with a trunk I can hide my purchases and our luggage in. Something that was manufactured in this century. Something that has a working radio, CD player and MP3 connection. Something with working interior lights and windows that go back up after you've put them down. Something with a key that locks and unlocks ALL the doors. Sigh.....I can't wait.
