I had a fabulous sleep. Even when I woke up with an aching hip, due to beds soft as sheets of plywood, I would just roll over and go right back to sleep. DH went to the Inn's office to get some more info on the Fibre Festival and came back with disappointing news. The Merchant Mall, sellers of spinning wheels, rovings, beautiful hand dyed yarns, quilting fabrics, threads, knitting needles, and such fibre arts tools, doesn't open until tomorrow and the Artisans' Market doesn't open until Saturday, the day we'll be heading home. We will be staying at a B & B in Sechelt but DH says we can come back to Gibsons tomorrow. Breakfast at Tim Horton's again and then slowly worked our way back up the coast, checking out more beaches. We stopped for lunch at Roberts Creek Provincial Park and later tried to find a yarn shop that was listed on the Internet only to discover it had gone out of business "years ago". In general it was a damp, rainy day that we spent in the car. However,
DH did venture out to snap a couple of pics.
We found our B & B, Tucker's Inn, around dinner time, checked in and then went for dinner.

How disappointing when something is planned or a place is on the "must visit" list, only to find it isn't there or it doesn't work with the schedule. I've had that happen a million times...well, that's exaggerating a bit, but it has happened often...and I truly don't like it! The landscape looks so pretty there, but even the weather wouldn't fully cooperate. Well, I'd still be happy to just be away for a little while and I'd find a way to make the best of it, but I wouldn't be able to hide my disappointments either.
