B U R R R P!
I sampled five of the 33 beers available tonight and now I feel a bit sick. Blah! The first one was Vancouver Island Brewery's (Victoria, BC) Spyhopper Honey Brown "a light amble coloured ale that has a sweet malt flavour combined with an excellent balance of hop character." It was deeelish! I should have had four more of that one.
Another was the Phillips Brewing Company's, also from Victoria, Longboat Chocolate Porter "a rich dark ale, with a distinctive chocolate finish." That was rather yummy too. The other three were just regular tasting beer.
It was more of a youngish crowd; overweight, 20 something women in tight pants and short tight tops and rude young men who belched as thoughtlessly as they breathed while stampeding past to get to the next brewery's sample table.
The food was tasty. I probably shouldn't have had dinner before we went.
The entertainment was loud; very, very loud. Waaaay too loud.
DH wants to go again in 2012. I suppose I'll have recovered by then. I hope they have quieter entertainment or barring that, a broken sound system.
