DH and I had a great time at the Valentine's Dinner/Dance. The pasta dinner was prepared by students at the local college who are taking the chef's course. If it were up to me they would all pass with flying colours. There were salads, penne pasta with your choice of tomato sauce or a white, fish sauce and thick slices of Italian bread. I don't like fish but that sauce was delectable. For dessert they served a Rocky Road Chocolate Cheesecake. Yummy! There was also a silent auction (You write your bid on a piece of paper and the highest bid gets the item.) We got quite a haul.

We also had our portrait taken for a donation.


As you can see, I decided not to dye.

The entertainment was a live band playing Big Band music. I have decided I'm not fond of Big Band music.

In all, we spent $356.00 but it's for a good cause. The old folk's home's bathtub is 27 years old and the money will go towards a new tub and equipment for lifting patients in and out of it. I've told DH he is off the hook for my Anniversary bouquet.
