Case Solved! After locking our two cats in the house and all other cats, dogs, raccoons, squirrels, etc. out I filled Peaches' bowl with his food and went to bed. This morning I awoke to find most of the food gone and only three bits on the floor. The tubby tabby, Angel, is in trouble now. I may have to make specific mealtimes for them so I can control Angel's food intake aka pigout. She's so chunky I can't feel her spine any more. I think I've discovered the reason for her tucking into Peaches' food. The last bag I bought, last week, says 'the formula' has been changed. I guess they found a way to make it pretty damn tasty. I suppose it's possible that Peaches is finding it to be so delicious he's cleaning up the floor or maybe just not dropping as much of it out of his mouth. Oh well, the first order of business is to get Angel back down to a healthy weight. I wonder if she'd like to walk my treadmill with me? Maybe not.
