Knitting Stuff

DD#1 bought The Three Year Old a pair of those little gloves for him to wear on chilly days. Then I knit him a pair of mittens for Christmas. After that he didn't want to wear the store bought gloves any more he demanded Grandma's mittens. Of course, being a three year old, he often misplaced the mittens and ended up with cold hands so DD#1 asked me to knit him another pair. I picked out a variegated blue yarn to match his winter coat and let him pick a the yarn for another pair, from my stash. He chose the yellow.

When I was a kid my mother did a lot of knitting. The two things I remember most were the booties and the panchos. Once, when I was around 7 years old, I went to a store and was looking at all the pretty mugs. Problem was, I was also fascinated with my new pancho and was swinging it back and forth until I ended up knocking over a mug. The store owner was not happy with me at all.
