DH and I went to the theatre to see the Portal Players Dramatic Society's version of this Tennessee Williams' play. It was spectacular! All four actors were wonderful and their accents sounded genuine to me. I think this was The best play I have ever attended in Port Alberni. It's no wonder it received three awards for best actor, best lights and best sound and honourable mentions for best production, best director, best actress and best set at the Zone Drama Festival. I was so enthralled by the acting abilities of the four characters that it wasn't until we got home that I realized what a dud of a story Williams had written.
