My Christmas Spirit has now officially evaporated. It is almost noon and the carpenter hasn't shown up. He still has the master bedroom, the landing and the basement hall to do. He also has to do some finishing work beside the stairs. I had an 11:00AM appointment to get my hair cut. I called the salon and postponed it to noon tomorrow. I hope the carpenter isn't planning on coming tomorrow. I still have to deliver my papers, shower, get my hair cut, grocery shop for last minute Christmas dinner stuff, make the Butter Tart Bars, attend DD#1's Annual Christmas Eve Shindig and replace the tinsel, ornaments and gifts Angel-Who-Isn't got into. I can't wait until Christmas Day. My philosophy is, "If it isn't purchased, baked, wrapped or cleaned by then, too bad. It ain't gonna get done." Christmas Day is for cooking Christmas dinner, visiting with family and opening gifts. We will eat, drink and be merry. Maybe my Christmas Spirit isn't quite gone but I hope Santa leaves a lump of coal in the carpenter's stocking.
