Pre-new Year's Resolution

To all my readers, friends and otherwise:

It's a little early for a New Year's resolution, but I can't wait any longer.

I've been a bad boy recently. There have been several occasions where I've made some regrettable comments in response to posts or replies.

First, I feel obligated to apologize to any and all readers I've offended. I have a tendency to be biting with "cutesy" remarks, saying inappropriate things which result in dismay among certain readers. To all those in mind, I'm sincerely sorry.

It's not my intention to be negative or to come off as an "anti-Christ" of sorts. I'm really a very positive person. I just occassionally get a burr in my shoe and blurt out something stupid or offensive.

I hereby resolve to refrain from said remarks in my replies and comments--even posts--beginning today, Dec. 16, 2008. Please forgive me. Thank you.

Wow... you got a lot of comments on your New Year's Resolution. I think I've been guilty of unkind remarks at times or of trying to be humorous at someone else's expense. Guess I, too, need to remember that Sunday School song I once learned.... "be careful little mouth what you say."

You're a great guy, fun, smart, quick-witted and true to yourself. Heck, we all step in it sometimes, and it's okay to apologize if you think you've gone too far at times, but your friends understand and see your good, positive self and soul. So keep smiling! You're okay!

Come clean with the real guilty feelings Mr. Smith!!!!! That is one of the reasons we love reading your blogs and comments, you hold the TRUTH at the top of your list, as we all should!!!
Keep expressing yourself and others should know by now not to take anything anyone does or says PERSONALLY!!!! If they do, sorry about their luck....

I don't know what you're talking about. You have a right be yourself and speak your mind, as do we all. I'd advise against giving into whatever outside pressures you may be feeling. Be Randy. I like him. I also like his wit and insight...even when I disagree with him. (As my father was fond of saying, "Everybody is entitled to his own stupid opinion!"

Oh, gosh, Randy. You have the right to be whom you are without any apologies. An occasional tart remark means that you are not a saint- good thing too since that requires a belief in God.

You are so rarely caustic with others, and when you are, it is sometimes well deserved. May we- your fellow bloggers- reject this resolution?
