So, the electrician shows up around 2:30. He works for a little bit on the stairwell lights and then tells me he needs to go back to the shop for something and he'll be back. An hour or so later he comes back and works some more, in between phone calls. Then he tells me the track for the track lighting won't fit together properly and he'll have to order another set. He did leave one little, short track on the ceiling with the three spot lights on it and boy oh boy is it bright. We're not used to having any light in that stairwell and now it's like we've brought the sun inside. We also keep forgetting to turn the darn lights on when it gets dark out. How embarrassing to trip over a cat and fall down the stairs because I forgot to turn on the new lights.
I found a great website full of free knitting patterns and before I knew it DH was walking in the front door and I hadn't even started supper. I had already bitched at him, when he came home for lunch, about what a crappy week I'd been having and how I was NEVER going to get all my errands done so he drove me to the shops and then took me out for dinner. What a guy!
