DD#2 recently asked if I would knit a blankie for The Baby. She told me The Baby is very tactile oriented and prefers the feel of things I have knit for her with baby yarn. I waded into my stash room and found some leftover scraps that would do. This is what I came up with:
The mint and yellow balls are relatively recent purchases (within the last five years) but the peach yarns have a history. The darker peach (seven stripes on the right side) was purchased from the Co-op in Salmon Arm, BC. We moved away from there 28 years ago, in 1981. The lighter peach yarn (three stripes on the left side) was purchased at Woodward's Department Store here in Port Alberni. However, Woodward's went out of business and closed their doors in 1993. My guess is that the Woodward's Baby Yarn was purchased shortly after we moved here in 1981 for DD#2 who was born that year.
