Water Foul and Puddy Tats

The water foul is, of course, Dr Duck. I went back to the hospital this morning and had x-rays taken of my shoulder. The x-ray technician told me to make an appointment with my doctor when I got home. So, after a stop at the grocery store I went home and called my doctor's office and this time I got to hear his receptionist telling me the office was closed for lunch from 11:30 to 1:00. I tried a few more times over the course of the afternoon and by 3:50, ten minutes before they were due to close, I finally got through. I explained the situation to the receptionist and she said, "Oh. Um. Oh dear. Um." It was at that point I figured I wouldn't be seeing Dr Duck anytime this week. She joked about needing clones of the two of them and I choked back a comment about getting more work done if they didn't keep banker's hours and take one and a half hour lunches. She finally found an opening for me on Wednesday, no not this Wednesday, next Wednesday, the 28th.

Our waskelly puddy tats have been up to no good. Peaches opens the cupboard and rummages through the garbage bag under the sink at every opportunity. Currently we have the cupboard doors blocked with a scratching post but it's a hassle to move every time we want to throw something away. I'm thinking of getting some baby (and cat) proof latches. He is also scarfing down Angel's food every chance he gets. We keep Angel's food on the bathroom counter which is right beside the toilet. We have to keep a full family size package of toilet paper on he toilet so Peaches can't jump from toilet to counter. He's too old and arthritic to jump from floor to counter. Angel however, is young and spry enough to leap from floor to counter but is so lazy she just goes to the kitchen and tucks into Peaches' food. Normally the cats getting into each others food wouldn't be a problem but Peaches is allergic to wheat and throws up Angel's food (although, the mouldy cheese in the garbage didn't bother him at all) and Angel has gastric problems that cause me to open wide the windows and air out the house after she's eaten most cat foods. We are going to switch Angel to Peaches' food soon. If it agrees with her both cats will be fed in the kitchen and it won't matter which bowl they eat out of.
