OK, so I'm stalling. I need to go deliver my newspapers but it's raining. I could say I'm just waiting for the rain to ease up or stop but I know it isn't going to. This is a typical Port Alberni winter's day. It's what earned The West Coast the nickname of The Wet Coast. There is a rain forest nearby for God's sake. Folks around here don't even bother with umbrellas, just a hat to keep the icy rain off your head. I have three; a hot pink vinyl outside/blue terry inside for when it's just a light rain with no wind as the brim isn't very big, my brown wool fedora with the red feather in the band has a wider brim but if it's very windy I'll wear my big Tilley sunhat. To those of you who are still reading this drivel, I thank you and to those of you who went on to something more interesting after the second sentence......well I guess there's no point in commenting. Sigh.......Hi ho, hi ho. It's off to work I go.........
