I thoroughly enjoyed it and I think Mom did too in spite of her getting hit with a leaking skylight, loss of glasses and no internet. It was great seeing my sister, Kim, and I got to ride in her new car. Smooooth ride. Quiet engine. It was a nice change to DH's bouncing Jeep Cherokee. We had Chinese food for dinner and White Spot for lunch. We stopped for tea at Tim Horton's. We went to the local yarn shop, Mad About Ewe's January sale. We wandered around Woodgrove Mall. Mom and I dyed the silk she spun for me with two packages of Kool Aid and some wool with acid dyes. Kim gave me some tips on spinning.

My Nanaimo treasures: Turquoise dyed wool, my wool dyed with navy, scarlet and gold yellow, bobbin of my practice spinning, knitting book, bag of onion skins to turn into yellow dye, two hand carders, base for needle felting, two balls of Noro sock yarn and three circular knitting needles.

I have to go now. The flooring guys were here painting a sealant or glue or something on the bathroom floor and the fumes are getting to me.
