I'm so angry with myself. I forgot to take the camera. Not that there was all that much pretty scenery to capture on media card in February.
The view from our sixth floor suite at the Queen Victoria Hotel was breathtaking. The food and service at the hotel's restaurant, Samuel's By The Park, was the best we've had, bar none. My only complaint was the bed. My back is still recovering from their bed.

On Saturday afternoon, while DH was at courses, I wandered around downtown Victoria. The old, red, British, double decker, tour buses seem to be gone (maybe they're only out and about in the summer)

but there were plenty of new, double decker, city transit buses.

I long to ride in one of the horse drawn carriages, but not in February.

By Sunday afternoon DH was finished with his courses and after lunch at the White Spot we drove over to see Royal Roads University

and nearby Hatley Castle.

Then we left for home. The weather was nice on the southern Island but as we neared Port Alberni the rain poured down in buckets. It was a nice little get-away. I hope we can do it again, soon.
