I finally got around to taking a picture of the Purple Murple Socks. These should fit the average sized feet of an average sized six month old. Does anyone really know just how big an averaged size six month old actually is?
DH and I went tree shopping yesterday. After considerable searching and discussion we decided on these three.
Deborah Maple grows to approx. 22-24 feet high and 20 feet in diameter. Not too big but a nice shade tree. Reddish leaves.
Drummondii Maple grows to approx. 20 feet high and 20 feet across. Green leaves edged with cream.
Laburnum grows to approx. 18-20 feet high and 20 feet across. Beautiful yellow danglies in the Spring and I just discovered the entire tree is highly poisonous.
All of the trees are going in the back yard and should reach their full height in ten years. Next year we'll put in the shrubs and flower beds.
