Pescadores Review

DH and I tried the Pescadores Bistro for my birthday dinner. It was disappointing to say the least. DH had the Halibut that was infused with pepper. What is it with this current trend to mask the wonderful flavours of the main dish with pepper? I had the roast beef and Yorkshire pudding special. The one, thick slice of beef was half fat. The vegetables were uncooked and merely heated. The Yorkshire pudding had the texture and taste of week old cake. I had to saw through it with my steak knife. The gravy, although it was delicious, had an odd flovour I couldn't put my finger on. It did not taste like roast beef and Yorkshire pudding gravy. The best thing on the plate was the potato croquet and the white sauce covering it. The appetizers of feta stuffed cherry tomatoes and a crab dip with nachos were delectable. I had no interest in any of the desserts and I have a mouth full of sweet teeth. Next year I think we'll stick to the tried and true eateries in town.
