I was doing pretty good. I've been churning out shopping bag after shopping bag and I was content to do so until.........Yesterday when I saw this at a Nanaimo Craft Fair. I just HAD to touch it. It was like stroking butter with out the mybloggers feeling. It was wonderful. I fondled it until I realized I was lagging behind the others. I forced myself to stop this public display and hurried to catch up to DH. I told him all about it. I tried to explain how it felt and in frustration dragged him back to the scene of my crime. "Touch it. Go ahead, touch it." I demanded. DH gave it the sensual equivalent of a peck on the cheek and responded with, "Why don't you buy it?" Turning away from the spinner of this exotic delicacy I mouthed, "It's $40.00!" at DH. I interpreted the fact that his jaw did not drop to the floor, nor his eyes bug out of his head as his acceptance of the fact that I was going to make it mine. I am now the proud owner of a 200g/7.1 oz skein of 100% Alpaca and just as soon as I'm done looking at it, admiring it and feeling it's luxuriant softness I'll decide what to make myself with it.
